And 23 cms of ground clearance (new Defender has 22 cms) ... that'll help with the speed bumps .... it's not intended to be a Jeep-substitute .... with the locking diff it has two driven wheels when the going gets tough ... the same number as a 4x4 that hasn't been fitted with lockers .... tyre choice will be important .... with a good driver it will get places a 4x4 won't with an average one .... it will be interesting to see if any of the purchasers fancy stretching its legs

If had the means (on the ragged edge there) and were able to purchase one of these here in the states, I would buy one tomorrow - I live in a sparsely populated desert community and live at the end of a rarely maintained dirt road - most of the roads in my community are rough. I can’t imagine a better vehicle to make the trek from Pioneertown to Bear Bear Lake. I would drive the living crap out of this thing! I think it’s absolutely brilliant both in concept and execution.

I like it too, but the price is very steep!

For £170,000 plus taxes, I would think it's possible to buy a standard, nearly-new Plus Four and get it modified.

Totally agree .... have spent time in your area and thought of the dirt roads there and in Utah as soon as I saw it .... would be fun to run it up towards Barstow, have a steak and a beer in the SlashX Ranch Cafe and run it round the OHV areas up there .... would turn the heads of a few sand rail and RZR drivers 😁

Price is outrageous .... but for those with money the numbers are just numbers and if they want one then they'll have one .... seems 6 of the projected 8 are spoken for already .... would have one of these all day long over a Lambo, Fezza or Porker.

I sent a request to the factory and my local US dealer and there are no plans to export even one of the 8. If they had agreed to send one I’d be looking at liquidating some assets I’m afraid - this vehicle speaks to me in a way nothing has in a long time. I am still on the list for a standard Plus Four whenever they arrive on these shores . . .

They need to homologate some stuff on the car, therefor the steep price
I like it, and love the story behind it

I heard today that all 8 are sold and they have had strong interest for 50 more - so it will be interesting to see what happens next.
i.e. Will they produce a few more as they did with the Aero8 Plus 8's when they bought back the 8 chassis from Bristol sherlock
