Emira’s size has been mentioned before and I do not like wide cars so looked hard at the dimensions - where are you getting the size info from Peter?

Maybe wing mirrors make a difference or varying data?

17cm is a big difference.

Key dimensions of the Emira are length 4,412mm; width 1,895mm; height 1,225mm; and wheelbase 2,575mm.

Range Rover Sport Height 1803mm
Range Rover Sport Width 2073mm
Range Rover Sport Length 4879mm
Range Rover Sport Ground clearance unladen 213mm
Range Rover Sport Wheelbase 2923mm

1895mm width is with mirrors folded. 1985mm mirrors out. Less than 100mm than a Range Rover Sport. To me that's chunky. Lovely car but fat smile

Info from the LotusForum and various car sites, some sites quote 150mm wider than the Evora which the Emira is basically based on the old platform ish. But that measurement takes it way over 2,000mm. Which I doubt. I know my Exige felt alot wider on the road than the Plus8. You soon get used to it but it does make oncoming drivers a little nervous which is never nice on a tight lane.

The Emira is a smart car. What surprises me is that the weight seems very ordinary with more than 1,400 kg dry weight. In addition, I read that the Toyota V6 has to be weakened because the gearbox can't handle the original torque of this engine. Then there is the fact that the engine of the AMG A class was chosen for the 4 cylinder because the engine of the AMG S is as powerful as the Toyota engine. More marketing than engineering.

If I were in the market today I would choose one of the last Exige with full power of the Toyota V6 engine.
The Emira is more of a stroller than a hardcore sports car in my view. Or, and I like her very much, an Alpine 110S.

It was offered for sale in 2015 and 2017. My asking price was honestly very moderate but no one wanted to buy it. And...actually it enchanted me. I have nothing invested in this car except new tyres. She found me. No matter what price I get in the future it is a different number than 18K.

Lovely cars Heinz though I prefer the Coupe which is a great colour and youre very lucky to have a rust free pre galvanised car.
