Does anyone know what the exhaust co level for a 1981 3.5 +8 would be?

https://assets.publishing.service.g...dards-for-road-vehicles-19th-edition.pdf

The above document states a CO level of 4.5% vol for a pass for a non cat vehicle of your age. 🤔🔧

I suppose it shows why catalytic converters were introduced.

I've never heard that. I thought there were only trace amounts of co and co2...... isn't that one of the arguments against co and co2 causing warming?....that even if you double the amount of them it's still a tiny/trace in the air?
I'm not supporting that argument just outlining it.

I'm probably wrong, I often am.

"Clean" air contains 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and 0.93% Argon plus a few other gasses in minuscule amounts.

"Dirty" air in the city for example would have CO in it but the amount depends on the pollution level.
