You are not the first to make this observation, Deano also hoped that it was a step along the way to developing a CX four seater which would really open up the market a bit more to the well heeled family man.

Whilst the lines look close to those of a 4 seater, the tub is standard. The shape comes from panels fixed to the eco-skeleton. I suspect that there has not been any thought put into creating rear seating space.

I thought the 4 Seater was dropped due to the cost development and or fitting of the ISO fixings for the rear seats ?

Correct Peter.
But we are talking an entirely different generation of car here. I haven't had the chance to get a close look, but I think Paul's view is correct.

The rear of the CX tub doesn't even allow the spare to be mounted within it, and given the space taken up by the rear suspension, it will be a challenge to incorporate seats.

However, the mock up someone did of a trad with a more upright spare, and a hood which looked closer to the 4 seater, to provide a flat luggage deck, or dog deck, under the hood has potential.

Dave that sounds like a pick-up, next thing they'll be jacking up the suspension and putting big wheels and off road tyres on one wink

After another good long look at the video I think this is a hilarious bit of marketing, the road driven round the quarry was way smoother than many peoples drive home here, and it would no more get across a damp paddock than my Plus 8. As for suspension travel look how close to the tyres those guards are. Still if people want to pay that ... and I have seen many more outlandish things carried on Superyachts - a fixed wing little carbon fibre plane for one - yes on a sailing yacht.

How did they make that work? Put a mast on an aircraft carrier?
