Just wondering what that would look like? Early Moss Box, 3.9 pre cat, 4.6 or 80's carb fed car?

Given a free hand, what upgrades would you have and what would the final spec be of your "perfect" Plus 8?

Over to you...

For me it would be a mint original narrow body with Simmonds hood, but with Rover 5 speed rather than the Moss box. And twin SU's.

Interesting.

After seeing this thread I did a little googling and as far as I can see the original series of Plus 8s with the Rover engine developed around 200 hp, less on the early versions and a little more on the late versions.

The Roadsters that followed with a similar sized engine seem to have more power than the best of the Plus 8s

It would be very interesting to see a dino chart comparing a Plus 8 the new Plus 4 SS

Agreed, except the hood and I'd prefer a larger pre-cat 3.9 on carbs, but has to be in the narrow body though...

Hi,
I am with you Brian, but unfortunately it is virtually impossible to record in France otherwise I believe that I would already have one.
