We have deep fried Twinkies as well as deep fried Pickles along with deep fried Rocky Mountain Oysters. The latter is something I stay well clear of fried or otherwise, oh, I forgot the deep fried Corn Dogs. I don't eat any of them.

Not keen on F & C it's all a heart attack in instalments Each to their own. I'll have it if nothing else is available though. Nothing wrong with F & C unless you eat the batter, which of course is just there to encase the fish whilst it is cooking. The chips should be almost grease free. The plates we have eaten them off tell a different story, it's swimming in fat.. Change your chippie. Cooking too cold and not allowing proper draining.

The more I think about it over here if you can eat it you can deep fry it, which is why we are such a healthy nation.

To be quite honest we have changed over to a far tastier wholesome form of potato eating in the form of Albert Bartlett Butter Gold from LIDL or any other food emporium, they don't often get them in our other supermarket JS..... The good lady boils a large pot and we eat a few as boiled, then roasted in the oven on a tray separate from the rest of the meal and I tell you there is no comparison to chips they are brilliant and not a smidgen of fat on them. Those potatoes are the most versatile she has come across in 50 years cooking they taste good cooked in any manner and cheap as chips

I did have deep fried pickles in Little Rock, once was enough
