I need to be educated. How do you determine when a tire was made? Just Google 'four-digit tyre age code'.

Coker has updated their site to show that the tires will be shipped when made in November of this year. Holding your breath is not an option. Morgan Motors of New England carries the Blockley line as well as the stock Avons. I've also done more digging and found that the Coker lines have had problems on tracks where they self destruct. Over all impression is that they are for looks. Two grains of salt with that since it is the Internet and bitching about something is 14 times louder than anything else.The Blockleys were decent if you could get the tires within a year or two of manufacture. I had seen several instances of dates running on ten years which is illegal to sell in the states.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

I think cooker is selling tires to "the market" of real old cars. if you are only going to shows and putzing about town and old tire is okay...

Lord knows, given the opportunity, I don't putz around when I drive the Blau Beastie. I love the sound this car makes as it gently drifts around a corner as well as the mad cackle escaping my lips. Life is too short to just putz...
