Why those seats? And the hood is far away from perfect.

It's way too wide. The proportions are offensive to the eye.

My first question was why, but I guess that I know the answer, shame about the dreadful seats wrong top and drooping rear line but his number plate works.

I really do "get" good quality replicas, or some call them kit cars. The Chesil Speedster, Ferrari GTO or P4, Cobras, GT40. When done right they look like the real thing and probably provide 85% of the real experience.
But those Ferraris built on Toyotas, for example, and this one don't pass for the real thing and don't provide a real experience. Except in this case of a leaky hood.
A Cobra replica would beat this into fits, so I just don't get why.

It's way too wide. The proportions are offensive to the eye. We agree. The subject company (through a fellow by the name of Jason Stroch) reports the front width to be 66.25 inches. It is said that that a non-expert can detect a difference of as little as .25 inch..though will not know exactly what is "off".Of course, wide-bodies and Roadsters (the one with the optional wheels) are listed as wider at 67.25 and the Aero Plus 8 is MUCH wider at 69 inches. How do you feel about them? But this one and the Aero Plus 8 both have different chassis/frames with altered Morgan panels installed[/i] That being said the newest Morgans very cunningly designs attention away from their width by sloping the wing ends inward. Mr. Charles Morgan liked wide cars. For example, you and I have pretty much the same chassis. My overall wheel/tyre diameter is the same as well. Yet I had them make my front end width 60" just despite the bigger engine. The trad front width, under Mr. C. Morgan became his personal aesthetic, not one born of need. At the rear, width is also a function of axle width. I am told that he did not ask BTR to shorten the LSD axle when that supplier stopped making Salisburys. L.

An ugly car remains an ugly car, even if it were a Morgan - independent from the width but maybe because of the width.

A good basic idea. Use a modern tub, drivetrain, suspension but keep the overall body shape. Now, where have I seen that before? Aha! Aero Plus8, CX Morgans, M3W ( bought in design)....... If MMC can do it why not anyone else? OK, not built at Malvern but still a nice car. Criticism of the hood fit? Surely a Morgan feature? Is fitting a Simmonds hood a deviation from Morgan authenticity? It certainly looks built to a high standard, far better than the majority of kit car replicas. Each to his own re preferences on body stance, mix of lights, over riders, trim etc.

I think it looks ok. I just wonder whether the wheels/tyres are a fraction too big - height and width.
