Cracking that!! .... nothing along those lines seen down on the Moray coast so far .... darker nights coming and every winter takes us closer to the cycle maximum, so getting hopeful we'll have some decent ones again soon

An amazing sight, we had a clear night in Tongue last night, I went out at 4am to look but other than the millions more stars than are visible in Peterhead, no dancing lights. Keith, do you often get to see the lights? I’ve no chance with the harbour, the prison and the gas terminal, you’ll be much darker behind me Mormond.

Ewan .... the lights have been quiet for a couple of years (still see then every now and then faintly) .... but we have had times when the sunspot cycle is near max when we've had some great displays .... things are on the up during the next few years so hoping to see some decent events ..... light pollution is a problem everywhere .... idiots wanting to light their houses like Blackpool Illuminations buying massively bright LED lights are a curse (why they move to the country if they're scared of the dark is beyond me) .... not to mention farmers and businesses with a floodlight obsession! .... still pretty dark out here though.

You should have the UK's largest container port 3 miles away. The light pollution is sadly massive.
