A lot of you are still missing the main issue and that is ever increasing legislation surrounding what you can and cannot design into a new vehicle now.
A designer with a fresh piece of paper can draw anything he wants, it can look incredible (though still not satisfy the Morgan bobble hats) BUT then try getting it through the red tape. You have no idea.
One big issue with the engine hanging out the front is that it’s not compliant so you chaps have to get over it and move on, just like MMC have done. All credit to them.
The new car will be sensational I’m sure.

What is the draw with the new vehicle? Will it sell and to who? I would be concerned that it is still driven by the same belt and drivetrain that struggled with the current power output, let alone more.

Are any of the current M3W owners interested in buying one? I'm not, it doesn't appeal to me at all.

With a bit more room and quiet reliable engine this will make a lot more of a long haul cruiser provided they have sorted out properly everything aft of the Mazda gearbox.
I wouldn't have considered owning one of the M3W with it's chassis and reliability issues, I want a car to drive not put on a flatbed especially at £50,000 which is where I am anticipating the basic model to launch at.
I really hope they have got this one right prior to launch, I think it's an exciting departure for MMC and a vital market over in the States.

It is to be hoped that, with a 3 cylinder car engine, the drive train will be a lot simpler.
