Forgive me if I'm being daft, I don't yet have a M3W but hope to get one soon.
I understand the Centa drive rubbers are a consumable item & that a mod. by Mr Bleazey is recommended so the rubbers can be replaced without removing the engine.
I also understand these rubbers following the modification are a different shape.
What happens when Mr Bleazey can no longer supply these different rubbers to owners of Centa drive modified cars?

I haven’t upgraded yet, but plan to. When I asked Phil this question he basically told me he had a plan for continuing the supply of them. Soon after his message I see there are now some ‘partners’ (my term) who perform/sell the upgrade and I’m guessing this is what he meant. You could always buy extra sets of rubber if that is a concern.

The Bleazey upgrade allows you to change the the Centa rubbers with ease. It is not necessary to use the Bleazey rubbers, the standard MMC rubbers can also be used which many people prefer as they seem to give slightly more compliance in the driveline.

They just don't have the loops on the end to remove them but I suspect a flexible tool with finger grabbing prongs might do it.

I am currectly awaiting Phil Bleazeys Centa Conversion Kit. I have done the prep work already. As Phil say, "ypu can get two fingers in there to work on it."









I can get my whole hand (the hand is small) into the hole and it is not as long as what Bleazey cut but I just could not understand why a longer hole was necessary. Maybe omeone can enlighten me before I reinstall the unit.

Thank you, and the hole is more smooth than the hole that MMC cut in the bellhousing for the steering rack. So, i smoothed out the sharp edges in it as well.

I used an 1-1/2” hole saw and drilled 4 corners then used a sawsall to cut through to connect the 4 holes. I then took a die grinder smooth out the saw marks and a dremel tool to rotary file the edges. Didn’t take that long, maybe an hour.

What I would say is that when you actually come to be lying under the car performing the surgery & having to use a hex wrench through the hole, you will probably welcome as big a hole as you can get! Although, width is probably more important than length if you see what I mean.
Your photo also nicely shows how MMC use a star washer on top of a plain washer to attach the outer Centa housing to the crank.

Thanks for the pictures. I'm on the list for Phil's Harley compensator repair kit. I'll show these to the fellow that going to do the work for me.

If you use Phils inserts , they come with a handy lug moulded on for helping with the extraction - you dont need to put your hand in a far as your picture.
I have largish hands , so this is a great help to me.
I would go with Bunnys comment about width - making the slot as wide as you can will help with removing the bolts holding the ring on which stop the inserts moving when in use.
You use an outer set of bolts to bar the compensator over , while removing the inner set to free the insert retaining ring i.e. push it backwards enough to extracts the inserts.
