Went for a blast today across the New Forest to test the recently-fitted SSL front suspension on the 2009 Roadster, all good. The car was previously owned by NeilM, and after 3 months in my ownership it is just coming up to 14,000 miles. Now adorned with new badges.

We drove past the National Motor Museum, I was there yesterday too for the Autojumble. There were 8 nice Morgans on the MSCC / LogMog (New Forest Centre) stand, sorry I couldn't support the display due to family commitments. Numbers seemed well down on pre-pandemic levels (both visitors and exhibitors), and sad to say there were some very dodgy people selling some very dodgy cars and parts.

There were of course some excellent ones too, especially in the Bonham's auction. The highlight for me was the start-up (impressively on the button) of the 1931 10-litre Auburn. Next time I would probably stand further away.

Well we escaped the Tour of Britain konga of disapearing backsides and had a lovely walk around the Abbey gardens at Buckfast and a lovely lunch in the on site Granary restaurant. Some spectacular Dragonfly's in the gardens poolside right now being metres away from the Dart which included a female Ruddy Darter.

I found my little pixie in the Sensory garden so popped her in the car with me..

Proper job me lover! Well done Rich. I had a lovely side screens off run to Sutton Hoo. The kids must be back at school as the sun is out.

Birthday jaunt around Derbyshire & Staffordshire with the lovely Mrs M, ended up at the tiny (very hard to find) workshop of Langley Classics to drool over the owners Plus 8, beautiful restored Flat Rad and piles of bits awaiting restoration.

The Roadster ran like a dream, sun shone, fab day flag

Took the 4/4 to a regular breakfast meet at the Aviator, Staverton Airport. Mainly to fill the tank for Saturday.
However, forecast for today is good (hot!) and my early morning tour is cancelled, replaced by one early afternoon, so will probably take the car to its birthplace smile

Lovely picture, great setting for a Morgan in that colour
