At that price it's no wonder it sold so quick!

Perhaps the potential issues with repairing ECUs is putting people off the early cars?

Way to cheap (again), can't understand why dealers seem to struggle to price these right. Espicially when they sell within a few minutes, pretty obvious if you ask me!

Either way a bargain for someone.

As Graham hinted at earlier I wonder if the dealers are getting a little wary with quite a few things failing now and needing expensive remanufacturing replacement parts and they don't want to charge top dollar and get stuffed with a large warranty claim ?

What's failing with the ECU?
I had SAABs from the turn of the century where Bosch had used environmentally friendly solder in the ECU... which failed after 7-10 years. There was a firm who renewed them - https://www.ecutesting.com/ - for c £150 then.

I'm guessing this 4.4l from a 7 series would be the one? Or at least a good place to start.

It took about a week to turn around.

That doesn’t make any sense at all.

If there’s a concern about big warranty claims then they need to have more money across then not less.

That it don’t bother dealing in them.

I suppose what I should have said was maybe the reduced price didn't include a warranty or at least a reduced liability one.

Gotcha but a dealer cannot sell a customers rights away.
