It was for me. If you get a buzz out of driving your car it’s worth it. It’s not about going faster, the lower end torque curve feels nicer and the car seems to be a little more willing. But I’m a cheapskate so did a DIY flash using a downloaded tune from Viezu.

On the factory silencer box there is a little welded plate with MEX1107 or MEX1105 stamped on. MEX1107 is the straight through noisy one.

Well documented on here of the (almost essential) benefits of remapping and exhaust mods for the GDI. However, re: Jon’s post above...I didn’t think that the GDI was used by Morgan until 2014, or maybe a few in the latter part of 2013?

thumbs

I keep getting GDI on the brain for some reason!

My sports exhaust increased in diameter to 54mm and the tail pipe to 57mm, the silencer main body length reduced to 550mm and 115mm in diameter (not oval as before) A lot louder too grin2

Mines a 4/4 though, difference here

More importantly, how do you know if your car has already been flashed with a remap?
I enquired about having a remap for my used 4/4, the guy told me there was no way to tell if it had already been done. He suggested I pay for the remap, have it downloaded and if it didn't make any difference then I'd know it had been done previously! Still had to pay the full price though .

When Williams fitted my ITG Induction kit, they also plugged into my ECU and did the download etc, they could see mine was already mapped. They didn't charge me.

You could get a dyno test, which should give a pretty good idea.
