Mine's still working! I did drill a hole to mount it but on the basis that if I need to replace it I'm happy to cut a 52mm hole in the dash and fit a "proper" clock!

sawman - my earlier post - haven't tried it myself, but - If it has a small button cell compartment at the back, you might be able to drill and slip in a couple of really thin wires and a miniature LED for night-time illumination as I think you will find a 12v supply behind the dash hole if it's anything like my Plus8.
