Friend with a 1993 Plus 4 T16 engine wonders if anyone knows what clutch assembly was used by Morgan, either a part number or alternative vehicle would help?

Thanks

Malcolm

His worry is that the Rover application was transverse mounted and the Morgan is to an LT77. Gomog site says that it is the same clutch as the +8, but another source says Rover 800/820.

Was wondering if anyone had done the job and knows for certain

Thanks

Malcolm

Maybe that's what he needs to do (ring BHM). I had looked on the BHM parts site to see if they list a clutch kit, hoping to see whether the +4 and +8 kits matched, but they only list a +8 kit for a 4 speed box, and don't list the T16 kit at all as far as I can see.

It's not urgent but one of those jobs that will need doing in the not too distant future, so he's trying to research the options.

Thanks again

Malcolm

Clutch out and down the local motor factors with it for positive identification

A good factors should be able to order up a clutch kit the same day/next day

Please take photos of the clutch replacement, I'm particularly interested in the thrust bearing etc as I have an occasional squeak when engaging/disengaging the clutch. Also on idle I have a slight rumble in neutral again a possible bearing issue
