The colour looks normal now among the Plus Fours, and seems to have appreciated in value by a fair chunk. I’d say a good call by Oakmere and still an interesting car by any measure. It has also acquired another aero screen.

Before I placed an order for my Plus 4, when it was a choice between orange and yellow, I saw this car at Oakmere, and stared at it a long time. I concluded that Sport Orange wasn't for me. I decided on Porsche signal orange or Lotus saffron yellow.
It was the last thing we decided on.

We have a Norwegian member with a Roadster in that colour and it looks glorious, not for me but that's irrelevant to him. If we lived in somewhere other than the South West I could be tempted with that look though if not the colour.

We used to occasionally see an orange Roadster owned by a Yorkshire group member, his driving glasses purposely matched his Mog

I like Orange and Yellow and had a Volcanic Orange Mini and two yellow Minis, on a Morgan though I would prefer a retro colour.
I loved the Volcanic Orange colour when I got it but I dont really like it that much now. I think i would fall out with it on a Morgan too and in the case of a Mini it does date a Mini to 2014 to 2017 when the colour was discontinued.

I too sat in that car for a good 30 mins and contemplated buying it. However, that was the first day I started to learn about Morgan and also when the 80th was launched which ended up being the route I took. Fun fact: The 80th on the Geneva show stand started it's life as the second Speedster. It was during this time that for one reason or another the 4/4 Speedster was dropped. As the show stand 80th was a re-worked Speedster, it didn't have the side screen storage. I only clocked this when I tried and begged to no avail for a spare to be added to my 80th or at least confirm that side screen storage going to be offered as the only 80th produced didn't have it. At first they said it was part of the 80th package but then the origins of that first 80th was disclosed. It took a few heated arguments to which Morgan added as a COST option, side screen storage to a car without a spare. Which is ironic as a normal 4/4 has this. To the 80th owners with side screen storage, you are welcome Speaking of prices staying strong, the M3W that I briefly owned is back for sale at Williams and a good £4000 more than it was just last year!

I well remember having a conversation with Steve Morris, when Berrybrook opened their new showroom at the back, about how to attract the youngsters to the Morgan brand and suggested just this very car. It seems he took my advice and this is the result.

I think most people would go for the three wheeler rather than this speedster at a similar price.
Lets face it, the three wheeler has bags more character, although the 4/4 would hold together better I suppose.
It's odd though that the Aero Plus 8 Speedster got a following whereas the 4/4 Speedster is just a curiousity.

I believe this is the 1st 4/4 speedster produced in grey, which was later converted to a standard 4/4 ? Pic here ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/09/23/0D472329-D840-4D2F-B8D8-86809AC85DB4.jpg)
