ACF 50 for me and put it in a small bottle with a plastic nozzle which I got in a goody bag with an ACF50 sample in it.

Between the wings and cowl, and body.
Black "rubber" as standard, or leather wrapped as an option.

Natural rubber is affected by mineral oils. The self sealing tanks of spitfires etc had a natural latex rubber called Linatex in a layer around the fuel tank. If a leak occurred due to a bullet hole the latex expands and seals it.

The rubber beading on the mog will be a synthetic rubber that isn't affected by mineral oil. I think that's what my friend was alluding to. If its synthetic rubber then it's back to 3 in 1, cheers

What about the Everflex wrapped beading? I have a roll of that from Dave Kreisel to put on when I reassemble my 4/4.

ACF 50 for me and put it in a small bottle with a plastic nozzle which I got in a goody bag with an ACF50 sample in it. This is exactly what I do. Once a year. The small bottle is refilled from a larger bottle. Also the rear leaf springs are lubricated with bikers chain lube squirt. Helps keep the squeaks at bay.
