Late again.... What will I gain ? Is it worth the expense ?
It was for me. If you get a buzz out of driving your car it’s worth it. It’s not about going faster, the lower end torque curve feels nicer and the car seems to be a little more willing. But I’m a cheapskate so did a DIY flash using a downloaded tune from Viezu. Stupid question time........... How do you know if your car is fitted with a sports exhaust or a standard exhaust?  On the factory silencer box there is a little welded plate with MEX1107 or MEX1105 stamped on. Williams did the ECU and sports exhaust on my 2011 Plus 4 - GDI engine. The exhaust sounded great as the revs increased, but slightly muffled lower down, compared to the original. The remap brought the power band lower down the rev range - it used to come to life well over 3000rpm as far as I remember, and generally became even more fun to drive!
Well documented on here of the (almost essential) benefits of remapping and exhaust mods for the GDI. However, re: Jon’s post above...I didn’t think that the GDI was used by Morgan until 2014, or maybe a few in the latter part of 2013?  I keep getting GDI on the brain for some reason!

Stupid question time........... How do you know if your car is fitted with a sports exhaust or a standard exhaust? More importantly, how do you know if your car has already been flashed with a remap?
I enquired about having a remap for my used 4/4, the guy told me there was no way to tell if it had already been done. He suggested I pay for the remap, have it downloaded and if it didn't make any difference then I'd know it had been done previously! Still had to pay the full price though .

More importantly, how do you know if your car has already been flashed with a remap?
I enquired about having a remap for my used 4/4, the guy told me there was no way to tell if it had already been done. He suggested I pay for the remap, have it downloaded and if it didn't make any difference then I'd know it had been done previously! Still had to pay the full price though . When Williams fitted my ITG Induction kit, they also plugged into my ECU and did the download etc, they could see mine was already mapped. They didn't charge me.
