When I helped spec out the 4/4 sport competition (not the 4/4 sport as Lorne thinks on GoMog)
I pushed for a price point between £25k and £30k
A stripped out lightweight like we’d had for the Roadsters before
Take away young(ish) customers from Caterham and the like
Unfortunately the factory priced it at north of £33k…..

It's my understanding that the grey one was converted to the Geneva show 80th.

Well, I’ve put a deposit on the Speedster! joy
I took the three wheeler in for service at Williams and made the mistake of browsing the stock.
My first Morgan 50 years ago was a yellow 4/4, and the wheel has come nearly full circle. I found driving the three wheeler at any speed was enough to put a huge smile on my face, and the Speedster had the same effect. As my main sport is sailing, wind and rain in my face isn’t a big issue, and a crash helmet helps, and my partner is fairly hardy. love
We’re off to the Ionian for three weeks, so take delivery when we get back, by which time it’ll have a black powder coated sports luggage rack, as we do intend to tour with it, although how far we’ll get this winter, I’m not sure. smile

Brilliant Amrum cheers, a marriage made in heaven you are going to love it 😎

Our son and his girlfriend ran a couple of seasons of flotillas out there about 10 years ago and had a great time teaching the “experts” how to sail 😊 have fun as we enter the 🍂..

Of course you now own a truly unique model.

This profile is the real spirit of Morgan, beautiful and uncluttered thumbs

Thanks, Rich! cheers
The Ionian boat is in a charter fleet, and we get 6 weeks use each year, although it’ll be 7 or even 8 this year. After years of sailing in the mud of the Bristol Channel, working hard to keep yachts seaworthy, and pouring money into them, it’s great to let someone else do all the work and just turn up and sail (and sun and blue water are a pleasant bonus!), and hopefully get some return on the investment each year.
I do love everything about the Speedster, and although it hasn’t got anything like the music of the M3W, its side exit sports exhaust sounds good. I’m not sure why it has a radio though, as I can’t imagine it is ever audible.

Rob, well done you are living the life out there in the sunshine, enjoy it for us all.
You do paint a pretty picture of the Bristol Channel laugh2..

I agree the radio does seem a bit superfluous, I'll bet that side exit sounds really nice and raspy.

Congrats to Rob on your choice thumbs. Having seen the pics of your orange Speedster I've been driven to paint my number plate light covers in silk black too, to match overriders.
