The spacer is something I will look into. Googling M3W pedalbox you read more about spacers for the steering wheel than anything about the pedal box! Won't reinvent the wheel if an easy solution is out there.

Small roads are looking more likely as the weather forecast seems to be getting even worse for saturday! Note to self, when at a boat show, buy a boat not a car!

Same analogy “burning £10 notes while someone throws buckets of water over you” I guess that’s why it was at the boat show?

I did see it there, I’m sure you’re going to enjoy owning it, welcome to the madness.

If boats were only burning £10 notes! BOAT stands for bung out another thousand! Fortunately I was there to help my freind buy a boat and not one for me.

Really looking forward to this new ownership though, Have not had one single negative comment made once people see a picture of the car. Not many cars can have that effect across all age ranges.

Ok so we wimped out of going tomorrow.....so we went today! Wooohoooo! Blue skies, clear enough roads and found some fuel without a queue! 😀😎😀😎😀

Drives great and thankfully legs ok on pedals so nowt required there. And steering wheel is ok too so no spacer either. Over worried it all so happy days.

Would a failed light bulb trigger any warning light please?

Good decision and great no fitting in problems woohoo
I hope your daughter enjoyed the adventure alongside you and she didn't have any baling out duties... the weather here in South Devon has been a bit heavy showery umbrella this morning.

Cannot comment on the warning light - although it sounds most un Morganlike.

Congratulations on your new acquisition.

I don't believe there is any such warning light.
Most of the lights are LEDs so should last a long time. The only traditional light bulbs I'm aware of are the main headlight bulbs.

As JohnMat says, no "failed light" warning light with the M3W. A "Check Engine" light maybe? It has one of those. The other light that sometimes flickers is the brake light, usually triggered by bumps or cornering by a slightly low level of fluid in the brake reservoir.

Yes I agree it was an engine warning light. Oil levels good and no low pressure light so we came home with the warning light mainly on sometimes off. No pattern I could discern. Engine ran fine, sounded fab. My very first drive started by exiting Berrybrook showroom which is hill start through narrow doors! Didn't stall so grateful for that. Didn't spin as I turned onto the road, also grateful for that.

I have a 302 sb ford engined car and of my toys the m3w behaved mostly like that engine. Torquey and bubbly but not very smooth. Great character though. Engine spins up quickly and at the red line soon enough. Learning the best gear shift points will come with time. I can see why the later cars have the gear stick forward. With it back you need a cooperative passenger for gear shifting. Fuel gauge highly inaccurate! Remarkably comfortable over the four hours we drove. Was expecting back ache but none at all. Yes would be nice to have couple more inches of leg room to pedals but not an issue really.

Came up A303 then A30 but when we got to Basingstoke went down A339 to Alton just for more giggles. So many good reactions from other people, very few cars can do that.

As we went a day early Grace (daughter) could not come as school called. Mate Steve was my passenger. However when home took Grace out for short test drive and she declared it the best car ever!

A few things to sort but nothing to make this purchase a mistake. Whoever the previous owner was, they did a good job on the car with upgrades and with Berrybrooks touch to get it road ready again, its simply fab and can't wait for better weather to go out again.

The check engine light coming on and going off at random is not unknown and will probably sort itself out as you drive it a bit more.

There's quite a few M3W owners in Surry/Sussex and we often meet up for ad hoc breakfasts / lunches. If you like PM me your email and whereabouts you are and I'll get a welcoming meet together smile
