Speaking as early 2012 owners with many (but certainly not all) things sorted, not sure why we would change to the new model - likely a lot of cash out for what is a new/slighly different toy. Yes there will be some who will upgrade (if that is the right term) but the real key to success will be capturing new customers many new to the marque. Other have made the point about dealer access esp. in the US but it is not great in the UK as the network here has thinned a lot so that is a challenge. The real issue will be competition for other things to do with the £50+(+?)k required to play esp as gas guzzling cars in general are becoming less socially acceptable.

And another thing...almost nobody today buys a car outright with cash....what would the PCP payment on the new 3 wheeler be??!!

Perhaps Morgan could lead the way with a subscription usage business model???

I’m sure the new Ford 3 cylinder power plant will be very nice but I wish Morgan would have used BMW’s 6 cylinder motorcycle engine with shaft drive. Morgan is taking styling cues from the early jet age for the new M3W. With the BMW engine and shaft drive it would be a rocket and one hell of a machine. The exhaust note would be superb. I’m a little disappointed with continuation of the belt drive but still intrigued with what they come up with.

I’m going to go out in a limb here considering the overall love in this forum for a big v twin that shakes and rumbles but the more I think about this I really like the idea of taking inspiration from the early jet age. Smart move. Morgan already has tradition with the external design of the new Plus Four and Plus Six. A classic design that is beautiful and I wouldn’t ever change. I personally think Morgan can now make the M3W something different. I like the idea of a more powerful, smoother inboard water cooled engine that doesn’t want to shake the car apart. Make it even more fun to drive, make it sound like a sports car. I’m looking forward to what’s next. Still wish they had gone with a shaft drive though but probably good reasons they didn’t. And for those that don’t like the new concept, our existing V Twins will be around and available for a long time.

I think it looks good & far better than the big V twin which was over motored.
I would have hoped they used an Moto Guzzi 850 or bigger & shaft drive rather than the 2l V twin & complex drive they chose. But I guess patents. target audiences & contracts made that difficult.

I have owned both MG Le Mans & a BMW K75s , my preference would be the Guzzi but other shaft drive bikes are available.

I wonder if they could graft an F Type radiator style to the front, retro & you get some chrome to look after

Actually, the Kevlar drive belt itself is probably the 2nd most reliable component of the outgoing 3 Wheeler, the Mazda gearbox being the most reliable part.

On further analysis of available pictures, it looks like the front suspension is some sort of a racecar type pull-rod arrangement. It also looks like there is a normal 3-wheeler rear lower panel covering a new more tapered unit similar to the EV-3. That would visually lighten up the rear end a lot. The "barge board" appears to extend from the front to the mid cockpit area. There is a "scalloped" air exit for the engine that extends nicely along this barge board as well. This new 3/3 is going to be very interesting.

I would miss the external "hand warmers". If its water cooled maybe an interior heater will be an option.
