Malcolm. I am 192 cm and I had to make some adjustments to the pedal box.

In the standard setup the pedals are leaning towards you quite a lot. I adjusted them fully to the other direction so they stand up straight. This was possible using the existing adjustment. For the throttle I had to fabricate a new shorter linkage.

I then cut the top of the pedals to stop them hitting the anything when pressed fully down. I have driven it like this since 2013 and it works great for me. You only get 7-10cm extra legroom but that was a big difference especially on longer trips. A smaller steering wheel also helps!

An interesting modification Swedewheeler. Not sure how long ago the photos were taken but I notice that you don't have the brake recall strengthening bracket fitted to the brake linkage, I assume you have now? All pedal boxes with the M3W laser cut pedals (early production cars) should be modified to prevent brake failure if the torque tube weld fails, as has happened. As I expect you are aware, this is an essential modification done free of charge by MMC. It's the only M3W official safety recall.

Having had the car a week now and driven about 250 miles in it (between rain showers mainly) the pedals do seem to be in an ok position for me. So all my concerns and ideas to resolve them turn out to be mental exercising. However the tips by others on this thread hopefully will assist someone at some point.

Interestingly my pedal box has the M3W pedals still and is not modified. I raised this with Berrybrook who said they inspected the car and said the pedals were in fine condition so the upgrade not needed.

I would be interested to know by which criteria Berrybrook decided that this safety modification was not required on your car. If I was in your shoes, I would be demanding that the mod should be carried out whether or not they consider it necessary. Here is the TalkMorgan THREAD about the issue and here is the wording of the official recall.

Brake pedal Assembly
We are aware of potential, safety related, remedial work being required to the brake pedal on Morgan 3 Wheelers manufactured between 2011 and June 2013. This affects some vehicles with M3W laser cut into the pedal arm. Morgan wish to have the pedal assembly inspected by an official Morgan Dealer. Your vehicle may require a modification to the pedal assembly and this will be carried out free of charge. Vehicles without the logo on the pedal require no further action.
If you own a 3Wheeler manufactured between 2010 and December 2014, we would encourage you to make yourself known to your Morgan Dealership or the Morgan Motor Company to enable us to arrange to carry out any necessary work. If you have any further questions regarding these inspections, please contact Morgan After sales directly via email to dsc@morganmotor.co.uk

Apart from the peace of mind from getting the small, easy to install bracket fitted, it also improves the feel of the pedal by removing much of the "spring" in the linkage. Certainly worth getting done. I would insist on it.

I would also suggest that you have the modification done Malcolm.

It is also THE ONLY (almost) modification that MMC pays for....so why not:-)

I was looking through my paperwork that came with the car and am wondering if some work has already been done to the pedal but being a novice in M3W ownership I must confess I don't know what I am looking at. If someone could post a picture of a pedal box down the footwell that has been seen to then i could compare to what I have. I have tried to attach a picture of mine but it keeps saying file is too big but file size is down to 65kb which is tiny in my view!
