I know how you feel. I lost one of two brother cats in March. At least I found him, it's a lot worse if you don't know what happened or where they are.

Been there done that, and more than once having a great fondness for animals. Most missed was my first cat, BIG TAM, he was about the size of Haines puss, and very special in nature, I rescued him from the pound seemed that he frightened folk off from taking him on... Their loss was my gain, though he is long gone now. Sigh.

Ive always been a dog person, my Mum bred Mastiffs and have always just been around dogs growing up. I think its true that the saying 'people only dislike cats till they get one' is true. We've had a cat now for a couple of years and holy moly, I love that little cat ! Id be gutted if anything happened to her so I know where you're at.

Chris, I've been following this thread, we have 2 siamese and they are the third generation of Siamese we have had since 1980. This week we thought we were going to lose one...Aslan. He could barely move his rear legs, wasn't eating or ever purring. The Vet X Rayed and scanned, did blood and urine analysis, but there was nothing obvious, other than small cuts on his flanks. The vet suggested that if he didn't recover we should say goodbye. We took him home and over the next 2 days he slowly recovered, he is bo 99% back to normal. The vet thinks something like a fox tried to catch him, but failed. So he had a bruised pelvis and possibly spine. Big relief.. Here they are... Aslan is in front. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/12/24/IMG_0224.jpg) We lost his predecessor in exactly the way you lost yours. My heart goes out to you all.

Chris- so sorry for your loss. Heartbreaking stuff. Two of our four are quite elderly now so we know what is probably not too far away. Nonetheless, we both appreciate each day of quality life and the pleasure they give us, so both myself and Lady HB really feel for you and your family. Hope you and Mrs Chris come terms with things quickly Best wishes HB
