Chris,
I've been following this thread, we have 2 siamese and they are the third generation of Siamese we have had since 1980.
This week we thought we were going to lose one...Aslan.
He could barely move his rear legs, wasn't eating or ever purring.
The Vet X Rayed and scanned, did blood and urine analysis, but there was nothing obvious, other than small cuts on his flanks.
The vet suggested that if he didn't recover we should say goodbye.
We took him home and over the next 2 days he slowly recovered, he is bo 99% back to normal.
The vet thinks something like a fox tried to catch him, but failed. So he had a bruised pelvis and possibly spine.
Big relief..

Here they are... Aslan is in front.

We lost his predecessor in exactly the way you lost yours. My heart goes out to you all.
