I know this has been spoken about before BUT now the factory are out of motors it’s more urgent.

Did we ever establish which motor drives the cable system?

There was a thought that it came from the KA. If so which model/part number?

The original motors are no longer available anywhere. Trust me I've looked...

I have a possible solution but I need a car to prototype on- as there will need to be additional parts required to fit- that I will supply in a kit

Ford Fiesta MK4 was the one that came up last time this issue was raised.

Is the problem that the OE part isn't available from whoever supplied them (Ford/Land Rover etc) or is it that we don't know what it came from?

I know what the originals were from..

I've spent the last 12 months trying to source them.
They are no longer available anywhere.

I have an aftermarket motor and cable solution that will be able to be fitted and will work, but its not quite a like for like fit- hence why I need a car to prototype on....

I'm not MMC- I don't just guess how parts will fit... hide
