I hope you can help,
I thought that I saw a thread somewhere that had a picture of a late version windscreen-upright pillar seal for a Trad. It had a U profile that allowed the side-screen to nestle in with the outside edge of the `U' capturing the front edge of the side-screen providing a seal against the weather. Was I dreaming? Any links, information gratefully received.

Correct. Dealers will happily sell them to you.

But fitting is not necessarily straight forward. Getting the side screen parallel to the frame & distance is a challenge.

If the outer lip of the seal grabs the side screen frame a little to aggressively whilst trying to close it, you can use a steel straight edge and scalpel to carefully trim the lip, I even tapered mine to match the frame 'gap'

Just put a smear of vaseline on mine to help the outer lip slip over side screen frame as door is shut. Definite improvement that will offset eventual tearing of this seal.

Possibly one of the threads I posted on. I got the new seals from Melvyn Rutter but haven't yet plucked-up the courage to rip out the old ones (2x pieces of draught-excluding foam) and mount my new ones the right way round. It's really annoying me though as the passenger-side sidescreen pokes-out too much at the top for me to be happy. It's particularly bad with the hood up, and is made worse by the infuriating flap on the hood.

I had the same problem and simply did pluck up the courage to unscrew the locating bars on the side-screen and bend them to shape in a vice until they fitted snugly but not under any pressure. I'm a mechanical novice so if I can ... you can too.

Yes this was the thread I remember.
Much appreciate all the input, I'm down at BHM for their service day in November and will try to get the seals from them, if not them Melvyn Rutters as a fall back.

Thanks, I did try that early on but discovered that in best "Jaws" style I'm gonna need a bigger hammer and a much bigger vice before I do any more whacking.

This with ensuring that front frame edge sits in U seal correctly cures the rattles over the worst of Norfolk by roads.
