So the job today was puncture sealant to the back tyre, and so pleased i did it (lets hope it works when it needs to) as i really would not like to be messing about at the side of the road

This vital safety feature should be standard from the factory IMO.

With regards to OKO Sealant... When do you introduce OKO Sealant to the tire PRIOR to the puncture or AFTER you have a puncture?

OKO is great but as we found on our return trip from Grindelwald it doesn't always work, as we believe that the puncture in my rear tyre occurred about 10 meters before pulling up in the overnight hotel carpark...the puncture was a 5mm slit in the centre of the tyre, probably caused by the flints along the centre of the driveway.
But one of the group also had one of the "Grand Pitstop" puncture repair kits on board and that worked a treat, in fact the tyre is still inflated now to the correct pressure, 4 weeks later. Saved so much time as trying to get a garage to sort would have been a nightmare, would have probably ended up instead being recovered home.
Worth carrying the emergency compressor/gunk kit and a puncture repair kit if your touring.

Pocket Rocket
The sealant is introduced as a prevention rather than to repair a puncture.
I've never seen such a bad place to site a tyre valve in my life, why not hunt down a rim enabling the valve to be sited drivers side of the rim not right next to the rear drive.
The more weeks go by of M3W ownership the more i think the designers at MMC were all pissed.

Yes, and if the tyre fitter uses a standard valve stem rather than a short stubby one, it can hit the drive belt as the wheel rotates. I know of one instance where this has resulted in the Schrader valve core parting company with the valve stem. Obviously this resulted in a rapid deflation and corresponding pirouetting all over the road. Somehow, both driver and car emerged from this incident unscathed but it could have been a very different story.

For the same reason don't be tempted to try bulky pressure transmitting valve caps, rather than just using a tyre pressure gauge occasionally. It will work well for maybe one or two revolutions of the wheel before getting ripped off.

Who's the "weirdo" that carries such things in his 3-Wheeler? A sealant with compressor and also a "Grand Pistop" kit? He might be a crazy lunatic!

-------because their is no way i messing with a rear wheel puncture and waiting for muppetts like the RAC to recover me and six hours later get home (even worse if touring abroad)
