3 weeks Luxury. I am amazed but maybe the lack of parts is driving that. When I have ran operations for venture capitalists the assets were pushed 24 / 7

If I spent the best part of £100k on a new car and the rad failed pretty much immediately I would be dischuffed. MMC know they fail and have done so over 2 years now, there is no excuse.

An ali Rad on my Roadster costs fitted £825 so probably fitted new not a lot more than the plastic one say £100. That isn't even an option for MMC on the order sheet. I guess BMW only guarantee the engine if the rad is used.

They will change the way of the spare parts are stocked.

I have to wait untill january 17th before ordering the new radiator.

This morning the dealer add a small quantity of coolant

They also changed two bolts fixing the lower suspension

triangle. It was a request from the factory

The radiators used in the Plus Six and the Plus Four are bespoke to Morgan, and also have the air/water radiator for the intercooler (which is inside the inlet manifold) built onto them too, as well as the aircon condenser and the oil cooler ....

Then they should fix the issue.

+1 after two years it's a very sorry state of affairs.. at least with our trads there is a permanent fix with the Alloy upgrade.

I expect Sifab and Mulfab will get into this as an alternative solution shortly for the CX chassis series.

Lets hope the Ford engined new CX won't be similarly affected.

I can't remember what I paid for my ali rad including fitting, but i was told at the time that the factory standard rad on my Morgan would be more expensive to buy from the factory than having a purpose made one from say SiFab.

When the new CX cars were announced I seem to remember a few long time morgan owners saying they wouldn't consider a CX for a few years until the teething problems that were likely were resolved. At the rate the radiator issue is being sorted that may end up being an underestimate... Very happy with my car but have been tempted to look at a new P Four a few times. Reading these posts has certainly made me dismiss the idea for the foreseeable future, then perhaps I'm not one of the target market. Hope those who have taken the plunge get their rads replaced soon, it must be very frustrating.

I feel the same and have test driven both the manual and automatic - but I'm very much discouraged through knowing someone who has had the rad on his P4 replaced 3 times in the year or so he has owned the car!
