Cheers Ewan .... will take you up on your offer .... will be good to cast my eye over a finished car .... even after taking lots of pics before I stripped mine there's lots of detail I never thought to snap!

Let me know when you might be about and we can catch up.

Thanks

K

It was my pleasure, quite telling me that, other than the Morgan, we spent most of our time looking at the Caterham, I donโ€™t think we even mentioned the Ferrari rofl

Oh yes, the red thing? ๐Ÿ™‚ .... the crossflow powered roller-skate with the carbs bigger than the engine was more up my street ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks again for your hospitality

I've started doing the reassembly from the rear so beading/piping is going on. I did try stapling the strip but it has cracked the joints between the rear panel and the aluminium moulding that runs down the edges of the panel. There's not much to absorb the shocks from the staple gun. So I just taped the beading in a few spots just to keep it from falling off and offered up the wing to the body, securing it with the bottom seatbelt bolt and a top throughbolt. Various methods involving bits of wood (with cushioning) and a jack were involved to keep the wing in place while I lined up the holes. I started tightening up the screws/bolts from the rear going forwards while pushing in the beading. It seems to have worked although I had to add one extra screw as the beading was not held sufficiently in one place. I guess carpet tape would have held everything but I didn't have any of that! Here are a couple of photos.
