Nice looking helmet. What is it? Haven't got a clue Peter, sorry. I cribbed the image from the advert. I don't have a photo of mine to hand, but my wheel looks exactly the same as in the photo. It has just the right diameter of rim (sectional diameter). Chunky but not too chunky, if you understand my meaning.

I notice you have the Librands footwell locker (sorry - off topic ). I'm wondering about ordering same - do you find it a success? Does it still allow for a reasonably tall passenger?

I have a wood rim with round holes but its 13" not 14" and is semi dished...Looks great but find the rim too thin so wear gloves ,that makes it much more comfortable... would love a thicker leather rim, but like the looks of the wood better. Dropped the hood rail on the 14" Mota Lita with in 24hrs of it being fitted. So watch out when you have the hood down and lift up the rear to get access to the back of the seats.. The center of my wheel also jumped out and chipped the rim so had to modify it the same way with insulating tape.. The standard wheel must get an award for the ugliest wheel ever fitted to a car.. http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k491/motormouse67/Tissington%20Hall%2026062011/P6270090.jpg The wheel certainly looks good and the colour matches the dash very well. I had not thought of a 13" wheel. I am 6' tall in the old currency but it is all in my legs. I may be worth while considering for me too. It is the first photo I have seen of the Librands foot well locker fitted to a car. I too am interested to know you find it, and to see you response to Vincent's question. Excuse my ignorance folks, but I see Librands' web page on the foot locker mentions airbags. Does the current trad series have airbags? The only time I have seen airbags mentioned in reference to Morgan cars was for the Aero series.

I was trying to reply to your previous posting Heinz and the photos have changed! I was intrigued by the shroud....is it a one off?

Jays
I must ask my dealer about further details. The black coated bottom of the shroud is a one off so far I can remember. No idea which other parts are "one off". The column has a wider diameter at the dash end to give a better covering. The standard plastic shroud covers hide too much from the lovely looking Motolita column.
P.S. which of my pics are you referring to and have been a matter of change?

When you first posted, I was trying to access the first couple of photos but I was told I hadn't got permission! The photos themselves were not showing, just the URLs. When I tried to post a reply to you, it would not let me post and I assumed you were editing it.
Anyway...thanks for the photos, it's given me an idea for a winter project!

Hi,
Interesting question as I have been pondering a change of wheel for my Plus 8. It came with the Mota lita rim as per your top photo and its absolutely horrible. Sorry - I know some people like a wood wheel but on the Morgan it just feels wrong. It might look nice but not for driving. Every small bump in the road is transmiited through the wheel and because it feels quite thin I find the experience quite unpleasant. Its cold to the touch too. I'm looking to change my wheel for a leather one, maybe a bit fatter and probably a four spoke. Paul

Hi Paul When it comes to leather the Motolita looks very good but I think I prefer the Simmonds Superspoke to the Motolita, particularly on an older car such as the Plus 8. If I understand the information on the web site correctly it should be possible to fit it straight on the Motolita boss. I have to say that, to me, I think a 4th spoke would get in the way on slow bends and hairpins. If you have not already done so have a look at http://www.simmondsshop.com/large-boss-superspoke-steering-wheel-155-p.asp I have to admit they have caught my attention too, thanks to the input from NorthernMogman. As always; you can ask, and receive, all the advice in the world, but at the end the choice is personal.
