Thanks John some great shots there and a really interesting day out, another one for the list for me.
Some of the older hands working for Decca Navigator when I joined back in 1969 worked there on what they called the G system, they had some good yarns to tell.

Sue and I had planned to stay a couple of nights in the village of Orford (she with a book) while I used the ferry and spent a day meandering the Ness, with camera.
Sadly the lighthouse has gone now, but the other buildings are of interest. There is a good book on the history of Orfordness, even has a photo of Capt Albert Ball's plane upside down after a difficult "landing".
Thanks for the photos John.

Drove mine today. Autumn is my favourite light and colour of the leaves.

Retired life in the New Forest is far from bad! Took the +8 for a blast this afternoon - doing 5 mph behind a donkey one minute and then clear road along favourite bends the next. Forecast for tomorrow looks good - so repeat. I'll try to take a picture if I can stop driving long enough.

I'll be sure to give you a wave if I see you (even if in the daily drive), as we are at Lymington Waitrose a couple of times a week. Buying the sliced roast beef of course dahling.

Driven the Morgan?

Can't get it off the driveway.

Screenshot from camera doorbell.

Where the drive has been dug up will look like the flagging on the left when its finished.

At least it's planned smile

In the early 90's I worked for a block paving company, We were starting a couple of jobs, when we suddenly got pulled off a job and diverted to another house. JCB already there, and in a hour or so we had the entire drive up and down to a good depth, and all rubble loaded in the back of my 7.5 tonner.

Asked the boss when he wanted me to deliver first load of hardcore. Quite surprised when he said that some bloke had pissed him off, so he just decided to dig his drive up out of spite.....
