![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/11/01/IMG_03171.jpg) I just felt I had to share this image. The garage shown is close to where I live and every time I pass it, I think that it is just so evocative of pre-war motoring. It's an everyday working garage and I hope it stays so for the future. Because in my mind there should be some sort of preservation order on these iconic village garages which are slowly disappearing. My apologies for this thread not being in the General Photo Gallery, but I tried and failed miserably great picture

If it is a generally unchanged WW1 hangar, or more correctly a General Aircraft Shed, it should be a Grade 2 listed building. Much depends on the structure and if it has a "Belfast Truss" roof.
A gorgeous photo, I rather like the colour matched Mog!!

Lovely photo & great that these buildings survive, I wonder who put the BBQ frame on the roof

So will this become one of those threads often found on Social Media where everyone has to have their photo taken in front of well known landmarks.
That would be a giggle.
Anyone near MM drives in, does a quick photo and posts it?
Although we would need to ensure we did not offend the actual garage owners, perhaps make a small contribution to a selected charity of theirs for the photo.
It would give them increased coverage for their social media if we did tag them etc. It would be nice to promote someone who goes to that level of effort.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I took the same picture when on holiday in Much Marcle a couple of years ago - except my Mog is pointing the other way. I have the photo made into a coaster. Great food round the corner at the Weston`s restaurant - plus a very interesting factory tour. Reminded me a bit of the MMC tour - but the products are more affordable. See "Old Rosie" and then buy the cider.

There are quite a few garages and other old landmarks such as this for great photo opportunities around the backroads of Herefordshire, one of the last forgotten Counties and great Morgan driving territory.

Owen, this is a flat pack WWI barracks. Most went to France / overseas. This one is at Orford Ness and believed to be the only one left. I understand the National Trust's policy for all the site is to allow buildings to deteriorate as there are too many to preserve them. If true that seems a shame. We weren't allowed close today so this is on zoom. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/11/02/DSC09312.jpg) Orford Ness had a WWI airfield and they developed the hydraulic interrupter gear for guns there plus parachutes, photograhpy & bombing techniques

Ah Orford Ness spent a lovely day there in 2018 and I was surprised to read that the Lighthouse we had a picnic beside has been claimed by the sea already, mind you there was a hell of a tide running past that point.
