Or not. No way of testing these easily - I had 1 that claimed to support “up to a V6 car engine” but couldn’t turn over the S&S when I needed it to / 1st Banner failed. Replaced this with the biggest one I could find (indeed too much Lithium for normal courier service!). That failed as the battery connector was faulty (although worked fine when I used it with the -fortuitously compatible- 1st pack’s connector). Caveat emptor on those things, but their performance did persuade me to swap out my own battery for a Li based one…

yes, you can let a Li battery sit for a year and it will be almost full charge... leave a lead acid battery for a year and you will probably be buying a new battery soon

I have been using Shorai Lithium batteries for almost 10 years in several of my motorcycles with mostly good result. While it is true that they have a very low self discharge rate over time this benefit is only useful if the vehicle electrical system does not draw any power when not in use. The M3W does draw low amperage when not in use and that would deplete the lithium battery in relatively short order. A battery tender for a lead-acid battery is much cheaper than the charger made for the lithium battery. For this reason I use lithium batteries only in the vehicles which do not have this draw down and they can sit all winter and remain at a good charge level. Of course, you could just disconnect the battery during long term storage as well.
