That must have been a Goldie then - what a machine a smallish mate of mine had one and he had to bump it off as he wasn't heavy enough to kick it over. But he knew what to do with it alright when it was running woohoo

The sound of that single lunger lingers on being blasted away into the distance.

Digging around, I came across the attached.

http://www.heatedwindscreen.com/acatalog/heated-windscreens.html

Note the price of a Land Rover 90 heated screen which is similar to a Morgan in that it appears to be a piece of flat glass. With a Morgan screen costing £840 plus fitting, it makes you wonder......
Please note that I have no connection whatsoever with the company shown.
Don.

Thanks for that Don - it really does make you think about hooking up with a few members/owners and approach an "outside" of Morgan supplier for an alternative. The going rate for the Morgan heated screen is quite frankly taking the urine. Specialist knowledge I understand and am happy(ish)to pay for but supply and fit a flat bit of glass for £900- no no redcard

Thanks again the voice of reason appears on this site.

Yes they seem only to supply the heated ones with frame complete.

I said in a previous posting on this thread that there is a contact in the Exeter area who will supply the (non heated)laminated screen for £140- and that will be the route for me next time. innocent

Simmonds seem to be selling screens with or without frames. But yes, it does annoy me when you see the factory taking the pee like that mad2

I hope some of that was insured Don.

In August mine was £972-07, my Windscreen Exc was £75-00 a crazy price for the supply and fitment of a bit of flat glass, £75-00 more like the price it should be.
