Very interesting article in The Sun about the safety regarding the placing of charging points.

As well as pointing out the more obvious inadequacies of these cars and the charging infrastructure she raises a couple of valid and interesting safety concerns.
That Corsa seems a reasonable enough price if you can live with a Vauxhall, as most cars seem to be bought on the never never systems I imagine this would be a livable amount per month.

Very similar to the Guy Martin experience in the failings of the cars and infrastructure.

Not much to do with leccy cars or the infrastructure - more about feminism and the unwarranted perception that every single woman is vulnerable. The reality is that twice as many men are murdered every year, a point which the BBC for one studiously ignores.

Probably the route I'll go down when my hand is forced. Currently they're just over £200 a month to lease, and I'm sure that will go down over time.

My current fuel/tax per month on my current Corsa is about £170 a month, so the savings on no tax, and charging overnight every three days should offset the cost a little.

That's good to see the sums in the real working world you live in, thanks.

Howard if you read the full article it says about how many charging points are going to be needed.
It was just not about vulnerable people.

Here we go - I preferred the funny advert with the Duracells in the Merc boot, toting this around won't increase your range doh

There isn't going to be a surplus of electricity for a while. Having gas powered generation is not looking good with the current supply and pricing fiasco. What we need is more nuclear.........and that will take a while longer.
