Nice one Chris flag I wish Snetterton was a bit closer to Yorkshire

Enjoyed the Autumn sunshine this afternoon in the New Forest, where there are still some Poirot-era roads to be found.

Peter, great shots of a lovely subject and road but why is your bumper and rack off centre by around 2" ?

Thanks......I'm really hoping it's that old photographer's bugbear, parallax !
Does it look any more "square" in this pic of the car before it went off to have the front suspension upgrade (and the cobra lens reverted to red, and now with a bezel added) ? If not, I'm gonna need a bigger hammer.....

Just noticed. That’s my house in the background. Call in for a brew next time.
Good to catch up today 👍

Set off early this morning for a tour of the hills, saw a red Plus 4 at speed on the Leatherhead bypass plus a vintage pre war Alvis or similar on the Oxshott road. Beautiful morning and great to be out. Tested the new AVO dampers and BRBs, both work really well and I’m pleased about the success of these mods.

I might well have lost track of the mods you were doing, what exactly have you done? The is it the front or backend you have had the AVO's fitted (the backend of the 4 seaters can be a pain to get sorted out properly) and what spec of damper?

Yes John, just AVO's (from Sifab) on the front end, the rear dampers are Bilsteins and in good nick. I also fitted brake reaction bars which have made a significant contribution in sorting out the front end, I really rate these as a modification and wish I had been decisive on these right from the start. I was never unhappy with the trad setup and would not be tempted into SSL kit but these two mods have really sorted the front end, tightened up the steering, the car is much more stable over rough surfaces, bottoming out much reduced, smoother ride - the list can go on, and, as you can sense, I'm pretty happy with it.

I went out again today on some errands and felt the same way, I'm moving on to sorting the running board tread rubbers and then maybe on to consider a change of manifold and remap if all the stars align
