Guys— this only partially solves the problem - the remainder is between the sidescreen where there is a gap between the weather strip which protrudes below the sidescreen and the bodywork and hood side - I’m experimenting with this andwill report further - as I said before I injected expanding foam into the gap between the sidescreen and the sidescreen pad - where Thierry has the neoprene. This sorted about 60% of the gale - I’m now after the rest!!

Cheers!

I have some neoprene sponge strip arriving tomorrow and as there’s no F1 or MotoGP this weekend I intend to have a play this weekend.
I have also put some Velcro type strip/fixant on top of the steering column in front of the petrol gauge, with the opposite mating strip on the bottom of my gps speedo and found today that it works perfectly so I can now see what speed I’m going whilst wearing shades (I used to have to hold it in my hand before at the same as holding the steering wheel which wasn’t ideal). Little gains make so much difference to one’s enjoyment don’t they!!!!

Folks,
Further research with bits of wool to show airflow confirms it is the gap between the rubber stripthat protrudes below the end of the sidescreen that is the problem. This is because of the new design of sidescreen in that previous models have a sidescreen on which the contoured back curves up and backwards below the window and the current one is a straight edge up under the window frame. Thus there is a gap between the rubber strip and the front edge of the hood and the quarter panel at the back of the sidescreen. I have ordered some wide strip neoprene from Woolies to bridge this gap and seal out the gale. I’ll report further when the Woolies order arrives

A case of a re-design being a backward step, I think

I didn't realise what I was asking when I started this discussion. I hoped a simple adjustment to the door hinge to bring the door close enough for the seal which is installed by the factory to actually do something might sort it. The CX Morgan is a great experience as I know they all are, but I can't really rationalise why having decided to fit a door seal they don't fit one a bit wider so it can actually perform a function. I think the new generation at least ought to be more sorted and have door mirrors and wiper blades that I don't have to immediately replace for ones that make the car safer to drive.

From looking at dealer stock & talking to sales people, I have come to the conclusion that not only is there a MY22 hood with the revised seals but MY 22.1, 22.2, 22.3 and 22.4 versions with further changes predicted imminently.
Virtually every car I have seen has slightly different seals & the fit between the rear of the side screens & the hood varies immensly.

I know the perfect fix for this.

Take it back to the Dealer and say "please fix this unacceptable issue"
