Out for a two hour roof off drive this afternoon round the Chiltern Hills prior to its second MOT, I am ashamed to say I've only managed a paltry 750 miles since the last MOT.
It might be my last run out in it as Im about to order a CX, just torn between a high spec Plus Four or a very Basic plus Six, I will make my mind up soon.

.

Just noticed. That’s my house in the background. Call in for a brew next time.
Good to catch up today 👍

Thanks Chris but needed to get home at the time after visiting LR guru Richard Hall.

Shame only yourself in a Morgan at Snetterton but glad you had a good day. You will have to let us know how the instructor session went.

Nice pic.

I'm sure you've looked at second-hand options - interesting to see a few Plus 6s for not much more than a new Plus Four.

Yesterday test ride after repairing radiator

The view over the "bonnet" is not really that nice.

But everything seems okay
More on this later in the appropriate thread.

2nd hand Plus Four don't have the new roof, comfort seats & tend to have options I don't want & don't really want to pay for.
2nd hand Plus Six Ditto & the cheapest are at about £80k when a new one to my spec is "only" £86k

I like the standard wheels on a Plus Six, comes with auto, bluetooth, comfort plus seats & aircon as standard, all of which are extra on a four, in fact a black six with tan leather with heated seats as the only paid option only comes in about 5K more than the spec of Four that I would want.
The biggest difference is £600 a year more insurance + requirement for a tracker, longterm that could add up to quite a bit more. Also the extra width means a full garage re-organisation which could involve the purchase of a new shed etc...

If I bought a big enough shed I could actually squeeze a Plus Six and a 3 wheeler in the garage. Im sure the wife would really like that , If you don't see me on here for a while its because I've dared to suggest it, I'll probably be at the L&D Hospital.

Absolutely. A chap cannot have too much stuff. He can, however, have too few sheds.

All this modern minimalist nonsense is a plot to try and prevent perfectly legitimate shed acquisition.

Don't forget one of those plastic barrels filled with cheap sherry.
