One. of the reasons I'm dithering about downsizing to a Plus Four is my concern one will not be as well fettelled, waterproof and now draft proof, or reliable as my 2013 build Plus 8.
The new CX cars are better, but from what I read the after sales support and minor fault rectification is a long way from what one would expect from a £75k car.

In May I bought a new Tesla M3 LR: less than £50k,
From the social media noise one might have thought I should expect poor pannel fit and alignment, loose trim, etc, etc. Wrong.
The only PDI failure was that the car had no valve caps. Very quickly sorted.
About 3 months in I noticed a rattle from the rear passenger door. Fixed in 2 hours at the Winchester service centre. They had pre-ordered the required parts and didn't set up the appointment until they were in stock.
Recently I've experiences some intermittent faults with the main display, which I understand is a hardware issue. The service centre is waiting for the part, when they have it I'll go in and get it fitted.

All new cars can have faults, it is the way the manufacturer manages the repair and delivers customer satisfaction. Perhaps because Tesla owns the production, distribution, sales delivery and after sales side they have more control: I'm very pleased with they way Tesla responds... all communication is by text message, but it works and there is a data trail.
I feel that this will be the future for the volume car industry.
Morgan is, at best, work in progress and still has a less than perfect relationship with its dealers.

Keep the V8 Peter.... celebrate a normally aspirated massive engine under the bonnet! smile
