Keep a look-out for us Lumpy. Four mogs on Austrian plates and with a diverse bunch of drivers. We plan to execute the plan that was not realised in 2020 i.e. Vienna to Le Mans Classic via Switzerland.

That sounds great. Have been to all the places mentioned and love all of them. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the locations!

Grand Prix de Tours, otherwise known as the Chinon Classic, in June, based in Chinon https://www.grandprixdetours.com/programme-du-week-end/ Tourist rally, lunch, Gala dinner on the Saturday, sprint round the town on Sunday a bit like Laon, looks like a lot of fun in an area of the country we know well but haven't visited for far too long.

Alastair

Read the report near the top of their webpage, highlighted in red. Looks like it has been cancelled for 2022.

Or has it? Reading further on they may just have their dates mixed up or Google translate is up the spout.

Blimey Sir P, you had me worried there for a minute! It was 2021 that was cancelled and postponed until 2022. The website isn't the easiest to navigate but the rally route for 2022 has now been published here: https://www.grandprixdetours.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/plan-rallye-site.pdf and they also have a Facebook page in case you're interested https://www.facebook.com/GrandPrixDeTours

If anyone is thinking of going, you need to get your entry in pretty swiftly, rally participants are limited to 250 and a lot of those places will have been rolled over from this year's cancelled event. Strictly speaking, cars have to be pre 1980 ish, but more recent Morgans come into the modern supercar category at an entry fee of 10€ extra. Bonne chance!
