It would be a fairly cheap test / experiment.

Glad you had a cracking drive (excuse the pun ) but sorry to hear about the screen. I would also vote for the non heated screen option. It has been suggested this would cause issue at MOT time but I sincerely doubt it.

Thanks - no offence just my sort of humour - I think it was pandy from France that suggested that it was not necesary to have heated eventually. My local garage will carry out the MOT next July, they are user friendly and if it were to be a problem I'm sure they would suggest I take the windscreen off for the day. "Virtually" you know. Felt "shattered" when I got back home

Thanks - no offence just my sort of humour Smashing! It certainly wasn't meant to offend. I believe it has been said that without defrost vents, the MOT look to heated screens. Like you I have a friendly MOT centre and even with the previous comment made, I do feel you'd need to come across a real jobsworth to fail you on a perfectly good screen but without the heater element.

I've just fired off an e-mail to Euroglas who manufacture the screens. Their website suggests that they do one offs.
I suspect that Morgan have done a deal with them to prevent them selling to other than the factory but its worth trying!
I've just checked the MOT regulations and there is no test of demisters.

I think the demister is required for type approval, (which is why it is an issue for kit car builders) but it is not relevant for an MOT.

Are they actually allowed to do that ? There must be other people who can supply flat glass with a heating element inside ?
