140mm to the bottom of the number plate carrier is much less than at the bell housing which hangs lower than the bottom of the rest of the car.

would put the minimum clearance at 115mm, which sounds like a reasonable amount.

I have been running my 2013 car with 100mm at the front and 110 at the rear for years with no adverse effects. Generally don't carry a passenger or much luggage though. Care must be taken over speed bumps.
