Please learn from the example of the long-awaited / stillborn TVR Griffith. If like me you had been tempted by the prototype (in my case, at the Beaulieu Supercars Weekend in 2018), we'd still be waiting. IMHO keep your wallet closed for now.

And "Futures" is actually a different animal altogether, whereby broadly speaking you (aka institutional investors in the main) are gambling on whether (typically a commodity) will increase or decrease in value in a given timeframe.

Although the outward looks will drive must of the sales, as a technoid, I am anxious to see the CX chassis, drive train and suspension. That part should be established by now and could be revealed without spoiling the final reveal. Hopefully MM is monitoring our blog.

Some serious Ackermann angle there unless the camera deceives.

Seems to work for a few brands. Ineos did this with the Grenadier where it allowed prospects to register their interest and at a later time a small deposit. Vehicle was unveiled and it was those who did so that got first build slots. I have enquired about one and should I pull the trigger, it will be well over a year from now until I could get one.

I got that email as well and the deposit is refundable.

However, I feel this could be another case of 'beta' owners. Just look at the amount of updates the Plus Four/Six have had in such a short time.

Does anyone care to have a guess at what the starting price would be? I figured £55K

We were one of those who did so on the just departed 5speed M3W...deposit paid in December 2010 based on concept drawing (was then expected to be a Harley rather than S&S engine). Why? Looked like an interesting/fun toy - we were fortunate enough to be able to afford such a whim with little downside risk (we could sell as demand was likely to exceed supply). Delivery was April 2012 (one of the first after dealer demonstrators) and we have had the pleasure of being alpha/beta testers as well as much fun.

Will we repeat? Not likely - the new one looks clever but looks wrong choice for Morgan with phase out of petrol engines and (like the new Plus Six/Four and the 5sp M3W) is likely to suffer from lack of detailed development for real reliability
