Bit confusing...
Plus Four, is latest CX platform car
A 2005 Trad is a Plus 4
Anyway, don't forget to test with ignition ON as Borghi may have wired the relay to feed only if engine / ign running, to save battery load Unless I am mistaken and I'm not, the badges on the back of my car say "Plus Four". That's strange as can be seen below the Plus 4 had matching badge. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/PEB2ynH.jpeg) Maybe someone retro fitted the CX Plus Four ones? Regarding your issue it may be the jurys out if Borghi added a bespoke installation. You may have to revert to first principles and trace power feeds. If there is a relay(s) involved it's likely a standalone one. If I understand correctly you have one fog and one spot lamp. As you suggest the latter should only be allowed to come on with main beam, whereas fog lamps be they front or rear should just require the headlamp function to be selected. Having looked re the badge, I think it could have been added by the previous owner. Why? I have no idea. As for the lamps; no they are fog lamps (I found a separate switch) but one has plain glass and the other the ribbed glass so I need to change one so they match.

Many classic cars have that setup, one fog / one spot - the spot fitted on the side closest to the midline of the road. At least over here it is not allowed any more, all light arrays should be symmetrical and if there is just one single additional light source, it should be placed in the midline of the car. I would have a separate relay for the spots. As a matter of fact, I would have separate relays on the ordinary headlights as well. If your car is from 2005, most likely there are no headlight relays, unless the previous owner fitted them. I achieved a major improvement in light output when I fitted mine.

And beware of yout local rules. I do not know how it is in France (or UK for that matter) but in Norway you cannot run fog lights along with either dips or mains, only alone, or of course together with DRLs. On the other hand you can run spots together with your mains, but the must have a common off/on-switch. So check out what applies in France before you change.
