Dave the photos are a mish mash of a collection all I can say is look and if it clean by my standards then its befor . the hood is cut wrongly and has a split in th piping the wind deflector is chipped the brake pedal rubber was missing the chip in the nearside wing is below the wind deflector maybe a dropped screw driver the distributor was highly polished the starting motor was brand new the side screen are rusty hence the knobs they have never been used and bought not long ago off Heart Of England the ton is badly cut and the piping is not symetrical all this is being given to the judge so he is the one who can say if this dealer is guilty not me or you but the judge .

I don't think it would help on this occasion because, as I understand it, the delaer in question was not located in the same geographical area but a lot further South east?

February - I always get that bit wrong - but it was a 90 thumbs laugh2
It was an easy journey, considering the state of the roads (particularly over the tops after I left the M62 on way down to Sister's house).

Cheers,

JTL is a Concours nut, and I can say that as a former (and current) Concours nut. The greatest fear of a Concours enthusiast, is to entrust your pride and joy to someone else, whether that's a dealer, or even just for an MOT. Over the years I've been very lucky because my MOT man at the local garage has known me a very long time. So when I took the MG's in, he would be washed and with clean overalls. I watched him like a hawk year on year, and always went back. I still go there with the Mog. I never had to take the MG's to a dealer, but had I done so, and one of them had returned in this state, I would have been extremely annoyed, and would not have let it go. Most serious Concours enthusiasts would be the same.
Motor Dealers don't view cars this way. Cars are commodities to them, and you see this, even at (Some)Morgan Dealers. And that's why, when I was asked to leave my Roadster for a week for a dealer service, I declined and did it myself. Quite honestly I would rather pay the factory price for a service and have it done in the day, with the added cost of the return trip, and maybe an overnighter than leave it a week at any dealers.
It will be interesting to see how this case develops.
