Enjoy the rum Keith, and happy solstice.
Having a drop of malt tonight as a friend of ours funeral was today, a nice restricted family and friends one, he was a lovely chap we'll miss him sorely.

Sorry to hear about the funeral.... friends are so precious and their loss is always impossibly hard to bear. Many of us have been through it.

I don't send cards for Christmas - however I do donate the the money I would have spent to something local, This year it will be ASDA, and in return they provide me with a bottle of Jack Daniels. I will raise a glass to all the good folk here at TM - Merry Christmas

Me too. Never had much truck with Christianity. Any excuse for a pissup, though. I rather prefer the idea of the three goddesses that tend Ygdrassil weaving our futures in her roots. Let's hope they can come up with something decent for us next year.

Indeed ..... here's our two old 'World Trees' snoozing the winter away in the rather battered post-Arwen garden. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/12/22/20211222_092019.jpg) It's noticeable that the old country dwellings in this corner almost always had ash trees planted like this at the end of the vegetable garden ..... I've always wondered if it was a hark-back to norse folklore hanging on as far as the early 1800s. K
