For anyone interested in the early days of WO, Le Mans and the Bentley Boys, I can thoroughly recommend a book by Peter Grimsdale.
‘Racing in the Dark’ (When the Bentley Boys conquered Le Mans) is a great read.
It describes those heady, post WW1 days, where life was to be lived, following the horrors of the trenches.
Hardback from Simon & Shuster - £20, or a bit less on Amazon.
