The metalwork you can see is part of the hardtop fixing, not the soft top. The complete soft assembly has to be unbolted & removed to fit the hard top. There is also an electrical conection for the 3rd brake light. If you like a tonneau cover, you need two different ones, one to fit when the soft top is fitted & one for no roof at all.

Thanks for that correction, the tonneau (no roof version) has been the one everyone has been waiting for, more so than the hardtop I think tbh.. I bet they look a million dollars so equipped and lower than a cat on the prowl, can't wait to see one.

I don't know if the Tonneau cover itself would need to incorporate a high level brake light, the hardtop has one, the soft top has two, if neither of those is fitted do you need an alternative arangement?
That blue car with the hardtop is £90k Aeros are going to be looking like the cheap option soon if the prices keep going up like this.

Andy is correct, in that the soft top complete with frame has to be removed to fit the hardtop & it's a two person lift on both
If you want a soft top option on a CX with hardtop, It's around £2k extra

I don't know about the extra brake light, I do know you can get a 2020 Plus Six with 800 miles on it for 80k so a bit of a no brainer really and as you suggest the Aero's will come into their own and the new 3 wheeler if they have got it right this time and around the 60k point..

I don't like hardtops on Morgans myself but that is just a matter of taste. I do think though that they should have painted the sidescreen frames in body colour. It would look far better. e.g. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/01/10/IMG_2241.jpg)

I imagine the sidescreens match the mohair kit John.

I imagine the sidescreens match the mohair kit John. Yes, I'm sure the mohair on the sidescreens will match the hood which I agree with. My point is that the metal frames should be body colour as they are on my Plus Four. I don't know about you but I cannot stand to see sidescreens closed on to the flaps on traditional hoods. With the 22MY hood that's exactly the appearance you get if you leave the frames in silver. You can overcome this with a black hood by having the "black kit" (whatever it's called) fitted otherwise paint them body colour. Please feel free to call me anally retentive on this issue if you wish ;-)

No hood flaps on the MY22 upgrade, so the latest "new to Mog" owners can't trap 'em anyway
