Looking about the interweb for a clear answer it seems that. new ICE Three Wheeler machines can be sold until 2035.
This may be why MMC has invested in the new model.
Does anyone here know or certain?

Petrol Hybrids are allowed beyond the 2030 date, also 2035 I think, so perhaps the 3 cyl Ford unit chosen is already in development in Hybrid form for the Fiesta & Focus ?

I don't have personal knowledge but from the few google searches I've done, it would appear that 2040 is the date for motorbikes. With that said, the M3W, be it car or motorbike classification would appear to also have to move to EV. Phasing Out of Petrol Motorcyles

Well UK is banning the sale of ICE motorcycles from 2035......

It would seem that MMC can keep on selling the new M3M for 10 years, possibly longer. Good enough to justify the investment.
I'm looking forward, very much, to seeing....and trying the new M3W. One of the dealers I know who has seen it said it will be a positive surprise... I hope the price will be sensible.

I can't see it starting for less than £40k, maybe 45?, with a CX chassis, Ford engine, development & approval costs, etc That's a lot of ££ for a fine weather plaything

I don't think there is a hope in hell it will start at less than 50k Jon and MMC will want to see extras to the tune of 10k on top I imagine.

For those of us on the other side of the pond, what is an ICE Three Wheeler? I presume this goes back to combustion driven vehicles being baned after a while, but my friend google wasn't finding what I thought was applicable after a brief search.
